Employee Spotlight: Connor Richardson

- What does a typical working day at LIO look like for you?
A day in my role will fall into one of three categories: working with internal teams and customers to prepare wards for their launch day, attending customer sites to support with their launch day and driving post-launch support and adoption of our platform.
When supporting a customer yet to launch LIO on their wards, I support with customer education via our dedicated training platform and content, alongside delivering live in-person sessions to enable our customers to utilise our platform effectively and with ease.
During launch days, I am with ward teams and organisation leadership to ensure our platform is seamlessly integrated into life on the ward, as well as offer any last minute support to staff.
Post-launch, I connect with customers on how the platform is being utilised, support any customer service queries, and ensure services have an opportunity to share feedback and be heard.
- What was it about LIO that appealed to you?
I have always had a passion for understanding mental health conditions and their treatments. When I heard about LIO, the values and mission that the company holds, the benefits it is offering clinicians, and lives that the platform is having a hand in saving,I knew it was a company I wanted to be a part of and a role that I could be proud of.
I then came to understand that LIO offers a solution backed by countless studies, tens of millions of hours of supporting clinicians and medical device clearance which solidified my decision that I would be a part of something that contributes towards making a genuine difference to mental healthcare.
- What do you enjoy most about your job and why?
My favourite aspect of my role is working with our customers to continuously improve mental health care and enhance our platform. I love having the ability to work towards a common goal with hardworking colleagues and customers that I have the pleasure of working with regularly.
I also thoroughly enjoy being able to see our platform in action on our customer sites, whilst being able to hear instances where our platform supported staff in their roles, enabling them to do more of what matters. I also have the pleasure of sharing these stories internally across all roles and teams.
- What has been your proudest achievement at LIO so far?
My proudest moment has to be facilitating and diving internal product knowledge sessions alongside Gemma, our Product Manager. These sessions offered a platform for all internal teams to learn something new about our platform.
These monthly sessions also offered a forum for experts from other teams to take the reigns, by sharing their knowledge and answering questions. Through this, individuals throughout our company had an opportunity to showcase their expertise, delving into what they have been working on, and shining a light on lesser known aspects of their roles.
- What’s a fun fact about you that your colleagues might not know?
I have recently fallen in love with board games, for me they are an excellent way for me to connect and catch up with friends that I haven’t seen in a long while! My current favourite has to be Root, a lovely game that sees you vying for control of a forest over different factions, with a close second being Wallace and Gromit’s Fleeced!
