  1. What does a typical working day at LIO look like for you?

Mornings kick off with a stand-up meeting to sync with developers and designers, ensuring everyone is on the same page. From there, the day unfolds into a mix of tasks like: analysing data, meeting with stakeholders, and crafting user stories or requirements to guide development.

Clear and constant communication across teams is key – making sure everyone is aligned with the product vision and that momentum is maintained.

  1. What was it about LIO that appealed to you?

Having worked within the med tech/devices/pharma industry for many years, I have always had a personal passion for mental health. When the opportunity arose at LIO, I was drawn to the mission of improving patient safety within mental health services.

Also having direct experience of family and friends that have experienced ill mental health and seeing the impact that has on their lives, and of those around them, I knew I wanted to be part of that drive for change.

  1. What do you enjoy most about your job and why?

I love evolving ideas that start from user feedback, bringing them to life through development and into our platform for everyone to benefit from, such as the new features we’ve created in our next generation platform.

The constant innovation of our platform, and the engagement from our partners and experts by experience is what I enjoy most about my role. I’m very lucky to meet so many great people that care so much about what we are doing.

  1. What has been your proudest achievement at LIO so far?

I will never forget visiting a customer, where the ward was very busy, lots going on and them specifically taking the time to tell me about how our platform has helped save the lives of their patients.

I knew at that moment I was in the right place and felt so proud to be a little part of making that difference.

  1. What’s a fun fact about you that your colleagues might not know?

I am a charity fundraiser for my local hospice, Dorothy House, whose focus is on quality of life, helping patients to live well and die well. Last year I spent 10 days in Vietnam volunteering at a local medical centre to help secure their building and trekking to raise much needed funds for the hospice.
